Valknut review!!! Well, where do we start !! Around 18 months ago, I lay my hands on the first prototype of the 4mm Valknut rotary, and boy, it sure packed a punch, I was amazed just how well this machine worked and how long the battery's lasted, in comparison to other machines I have used and payed thousands for and braking after weeks. However, back to the Valknut haha, we are now on the 3rd generation machines with higher proformance motors, different size cams and lcd screens, beautiful carry case, chargers, machine lube, these machines are the bomb, from the moment you turn it on its doing exactly what you want, no bull shit just a machine that wants to please you in every way, and boy o boy it sure does, my favourites are the 3 and 4mm, the 4mm will put lines in with any grouping you like from 3rl to 111rs effortlessly and pack solid colours effortlessly. Now the 3mm is the gamechanger, haha. This machine blows my mind completely. If you are looking for a super smooth shader, then look no further because in 21 years of tattooing I have NEVER used anything like this!! Fact!! If you are looking for a machine to saturate and blend colours, look no further because this machine will ALSO do that haha, it really is a work of genius and is my personal favourite set up (cam). So let's talk about customer service a bit, unlike other companies, Andy from Valknut provides a amazing customer support if you have any issues, he is on it and you get the help and support you need, myself personally in the past have waited over 6 months to get a brocken machine back and not just once from other company's, so this for me is where my loyalties will lay, a great machine with a great customer support, what else do we need?

I've been tattooing and collecting machines for 20 years and rotaries for about 7 of those Having already bought a lot of machines this year I said I wouldn't be buying anymore for ages, but after seeing a lot of artists that I like and respect talking about Valknut rotaries I figured what the hell, I don't wanna be the last guy standing outside looking in at the party. Sol bought two. The 3.5mm and the 4mm Mjolnir. Everything I heard about them, allthe rave reviews I read were spot on. The give system that automatically kicks in at lower volts then turns to a nice harder hit at higher volts Motors that run like Mo Farah. A machine that instantly feels comfortable and does what I want it to do rather than me having to change to suit it. All made by a Tattooer that will happily and enthusiastically talk to you, answering any questions, letting you know whatever you need he's there to help, and he does it with genuine gratitude and appreciation too. It's a whole new experience. I can't recommend Valknut enough and l'm more than happy to support a small UK business. It's tough out of there for a lot of us and saving money on tools when possible is a real help The black and grey elephant in the room... When I first saw these a few months back I mistakingly thought I was looking at a clone, much like the cheap ones I had previously bought from AliExpress as an experiment. 've bought a few of these over the years, made from terrible components they generally die quicker than a 1990's Lemming. THESE ARE NOT THOSE To any tattooer that may be questioning the efficacy or quality of these machines based on the shell being used, its like a realism tattoo, how often do you take your own photograph you used for the tattoo reference? Or do ya use someone else's? This was a really clever logistical shell choice made to keep costs down so we as artists wouldn't be gouged over machine price as has been happening more and more over the years. Why pay £1300 for a single machine when you can have three Valknut rotaries with a variety of cam and colour options for less than the same cost. No brainer. It's two months on since I first wrote this, battery life is incredible, easily lasts a full day at higher volts and comfortably two days at lower volts. I haven't picked up another machine since buying these, Il've got 4 big brand £1000+ machines sitting in the draw. I've now bought another two Valknuts, the 3.0mm and the 4.6mm. I'm trying to find negatives to at least add a little balance to what probably seems like a biased review of these but Igenuinely can't really think of one So far I have had zero issues with any of them. Maybe the fact I've got a tonne of machines sitting in draws gathering dust now I won't use, that I'm too lazy to sell or too much of a hoarder to part with. Can't praise Valknutrotary enough and if you're looking for a new machine then give these a go, and definitely ignore anyone that bases an opinion just by looking at them that probably hasn't even picked one up. Anyway, happy tattooing and here's what I use mine for: 3.0mm- Perfect for fast hand speed lining with smaller groupings, although stillline quick with 1 1rls with no - problem Also brilliant for soft smooth shading I use this for packing colour too with up to 17 mags This cam is currently my favourite of the four. 3. 5mm - This one does it all, to me it hits a little harder than my other 3.5 cams. Can comfortably line, shade and pack with this with any grouping If I only had one it would probably be this. 4.0mm - Imagine the 3.5mm but it hits a little harder and runs a little slower. Again, can do anything with this including smooth shading but excels at colour packing and bigger lines with slower hand speeds (dependent on voltage as always). 4.6mm-l've nicknamed this the Juggernaut. This one hits so hard it generates its own gravity. Easily line backpieces and tougher body areas, pushes any groupings and packs colour effortlessly. I've also been shading with this at around 5 volts, slow hand speed and works great. Even though it hits hard it doesn't cause trauma as there are fewer skin passes.

Over the years tattooing I have jumped between different branded machines searching for the perfect machine but never quite found the sweet spot Until Valknut. 1 own 3 of the different strokes and they're all genius in their own way, the 3mm is exceptional which is the newest of my machines, it effortlessly does everything i need it to whilst tattooing And not only are the machines amazing, the owner andy is an absolute gent and will go above and beyond to check everything is good and even service/fix machines when needed, he even gave away 20 machines for the last convention alongside the awards which no other brand has done before If you havent tried these machines yet, i would seriously consider it as you wont go back to anything else.

Well here goes, but what can I possibly say that hasn't been said now by 100s of incredibly talented artists around the country but I'll try my best as you truly deserve all the praise and recognition you're getting buddy. From the moment I tried these machines I knew they were special, everything id been told, all the great reviews were absolutely spot on! the hit, the consistency, battery life, comfort weight, low vibration, you name it and they excel in every department! My 3mm and 4mm are my absolute pride and joy now as I truly believe they have helped me work smoother and more efficiently than ever before and all this topped off with one of the best blokes l've ever met in the industry at the helm, constantly supporting the artists from social and product platforms Short and sweet because these machines are talking for themselves now which is awesome to see. Humbled and proud to be part of the Valknut family

Honest review about Valknut Rotary simply Amazing machine I had used some of the leading brands in the tattoo industry and still im not contented how they work on my kinda style of tattooing. Until i found this beast for first time when my friend is using it in a convention and i saw how this machine do the job. From there i was interested to give a try. Yes it didnt dissappoint me and now it perfectly do the job easily. This is an amazing tattoo machine and it is so versatile. Thanks for making magic on this bro. Well Done.

Mate I started using Valknut since the guys at my studio started using them and a lot of artists I look up to were using them and they were saying they have looked back, and I understand Why. Like most artists we've tried most of the machines out there and for 11 years I've used Cheyenne and nothings swayed me apart from Valknut. Valknut are literally all rounders and literally covers every single aspect us artists need. It's a privilege to be on the pro team and I want to thank you for having me on board mate, I'm looking forward to continuing working along side your brand and you're a top top guy. Keep smashing it bud.

It's been a while now since I got the valknut machine. AllI can say is that this machine is amazing, very consistent and powerful. I have the 3.5mm and 4.0mm stroke, these are really good and reliable to whatever type of work you are doing as a tattoo artist. This got to be the best so far! Thank you so much brother for letting me be a part of it and I wish all the best for you and your family too.

I've been with valknut since the very beginning. I've used every version and they only get better and better. Andy is constantly trying to improve on what is already great, trying to add more for your money and essentially provide an overall package, which i believe should just come as standard across the industry. The new mjolnir in its new case with extra slim grip is the holy grail for machines now. 2x batteries that last days and both standard and slim grip which I love dependent on the style I'm working on. The slim grip for me personally is great for those fine line details. My daily go to is my 3mm and my 4mm. I pretty much set those two up everyday. My 3mm is the smoothest shader I've ever owned. I can also use it to colour pack and line chunky lines. And my 4mm is there when I need a bit of a punch and want to get those huuuuge lines and that solid black in with no effort at all. The new ergo grip is fab! After years of having sore bits appear on my fingers from using uncomfortable grips for so long. With small hands I don't like to make the grip to thick with tape so I do find that previous grips can give me pain after a long day of pure linework. The new grip requires little padding, fits my finger grip perfectly and I finally have no pain in my hands after a long day. I will definitely now be swapping up all my old valknut models for the new ergo grip model. I love them that much!

After using another brand machine I had spent a fortune on for years i never thought I would use a different brand, and was hesitant to try another machine. But after seeing the hype about the valknuts I thought I would give them a go. I couldn't believe the difference and how much I loved using the machine. I can't see myself using any other machine now I have my two valknuts. highly recommend to any artist

Wanted to try a smaller cam machine to use for softer shades instead of my 4.0 sol nova. Plan was to have the use the 3mm valknut along side the 4.0 Cheyenne. Alamo instantly I didn't see any need for the Cheyenne as the 3mm done everything I needed from the 4.0 anyway. First thing I noticed was how consistent the motor is and how well the machine itself was made. Couldn't believe a machine at this price was built better than most expensive machines l've used. I put a 49 mag in it on the 2nd day and it smashed in black with ease! Since playing around with different volts I've now found my sweet spot with this machine and I can honestly say it's the best machine l've used! Insane for black and grey and I still use it to pack colour with my Japanese.  I've not long bough the 4.0 version as I've been told this is the dream team, and he's not wrong! Even better for lining and still really good for colour! You've done a great job here mate, I've spread the word on this a lot as I genuinely feel more people need to use it. Customer Service is the icing on the cake. From day one from even enquiring about the machine you've been nothing but helpful and supportive. Looking forward to working with you more mate!

To say I love these machines would be an understatement. I have not picked up another machine in the last year since getting my first Valknut. I am totally wedded to my 3mm and it's changed tattooing for me. Black and grey soft shading is effortless, the battery life is more than impressive and my 4mm puts linework in like butter. Valknuts customer service is 5STAR I can't not thank Andy enough for the continued support to me and the studio who have all been converted.

Thank you so much for creating these machines. I don't think l'll ever be changing. Hands down the best machine l've ever used The 3.0 is my FAVE! It's made tattooing feel effortless. It's still got that power behind it, yet the smoothest blends first pass. It's by far the best machine l've ever used Love the 3.5 also for an all-rounder, but the 4.6 is an absolute beast, can power in big round shader lines like butter and works amazing for blackout. It's not just the machines that are incredible It's the service from the valknut company as a whole. Super helpful, always respond so fast and the support as an artist is above and beyond. I'm so grateful! Thanks for the being the best!

Well what can I say The valknut machine is incredible Hands down the best machine l've used it's so versatile, packs in black smooth and quick I can still use for nice smooth shades and puts in lines like no other I use the 3 stroke and overall it's a brilliant all rounder I use it for everything ! There's more stroke options available too if you do need that extra hit, battery life is good the set up of it is nice and easy and the packaging is sick So grateful to be apart of a brilliant team hats off to Andy for creating a truly amazing machine THE VALKNUT IS THE FUTURE! Get one!

I've been using my 4mm Valknut for 6 months solid now, I'm absolutely in love with it, it does everything I ask of it with ease, from packing solid black to real soft blends and super smooth black and grey, my cheyennes now collect dust in the drawer! Insane bit of kit and aside from Andy being an absolute gent, the service he provides is top class! . % So honoured to have been asked to be part of the pro team along side some incredible talent! Thanks again Andy for providing and excellent service and an excellent product!

Got my first one of theses machines back in November and ever since I wrapped it up and took it for a spin I've been hooked! It's got everything you need in a tattoo machine. It'll line with ease shade suuuper smooth and pack colour like you wouldn't believe The battery life is insane and will easily last a day and with an extra battery supplied you know your covered. Also supplied in the heavy duty carry case is an extra grip for anyone that likes a smaller grip style or if you just like to mix things up a little. % Not only do you get a great looking and great working machine with Valknut but the customer care you get is always outstanding from people that genuinely want you to love the machine as much as they do. All in all they are the only machines I use and will do for the foreseeable future.

I purchased my first valknut back in December 2022 and having constantly changed machines every 6 months or so it was refreshing to have a machine in hand that felt comfortable with a slimline grip 9/9 Andy spoke to me at length prior to the purchase and was phenomenal with the information and accommodating with my neediness of wanting a slimline grip. The machine arrived next day and I was pretty excited. Free lube, stickers and case (pre vault) is always a nice extra! It sits well in the hand and is well balanced with either the slim or the fat boy grip.. Batteries are great and live up to a full day's work with no bother at all. So how would it hold up to day to day dots.. answer. absolutely fantastic!!! No fluctuations in power as l've had with other machines. It runs from mega low volts to right up to Chipping along with no change in quality of application Would I recommend valknut..you bet your left bum cheek I would.! The machine is stunning and bullet proof (l now own various different throws) The aftercare is unrivalled.. any questions Andy is ALWAYS there and nothing is too much trouble..unlike your "big" brand names who you're just another number to. Thank you valknut for just doing everything just so right. Huge love

I've been using a valknut machine for a while now and wow, unreal. Beats anything I've ever tried. Including £1000+ machines. I use a 4mm cam and it can push 111RS like butter!!! Honestly don't think l'll ever try another machine. Nothing compares!

I've know Andy for quite a number of years, back when we traded coils. The move over to rotary from coils took some time and I think I went through them all. Nothing ever compared to coil when lining. I settled on ink machine scorpions and thought I was done. I then tried my first Valknut (4.0mm) and wow, the bond was instant ! The machine performs effortlessly!! It is a literal extension of my hand. The weight, balance and performance cannot be challenged IMO. I've since got the other available strokes and again, these machines are the best!! 3/3 To be asked, to be part of the pro-team was a huge honour. I look forward to our journey together bud!! Having used at least one of every evolution of the Valknut brand machines this latest model is a game changer. The new ergonomic grip is great and the attention to detail like the up/down button on the redesigned battery module being the Valknut logo is a nice touch. Receiving the machine in its own branded flight case along with an extra battery, grip, lube and charger is more than generous for an already generous price.

I'm not new to these machines. I've been here from the beginning and have loved every single machine I have. I have the original model in 3.5 which just became my daily go to. I then got the 4.0 on the second model and now i have the 3.0 on the newest model. Needless to say I sold all my other brand machines. They were completely surplus to requirements. These machines can do everything and even though I mostly do B&G realism I love a bit of variety and I have everything covered with these machines from power lines to portraits. Can't wait to grow my collection of Valknuts! On a side note.. you will not receive better customer service from any other brand. I've been tattooing for 19 years and been through a fair few brands in that time but Andy is a true gentleman. Most brands motto these days is "made by artists for artists". That's b****cks really. They are made for profit. But Andy is different and I'm proud to be part of the valknut team!

What can be said about how good these machines are that hasn't been said already. For a long time I was switching between machines that were produced and sold by faceless companies grabbing the cash from artists, producing over priced machines and then giving terrible, if any, after sale advice or care. From the moment I messaged Andy about his machines after hearing great things, it was all good, great advice with what machine would be best to suit my style of tattooing! I currently mainly use the 3.0 & 3.5 cam machines but do have a very punchy 4.0 cam, which is my go to for big solid line work pieces. The 3.0 on its own is a great tool and will line big groupings if asked and then will smooth grey shade all day. Great battery life, even on one bar, it ran all day at 6.5 volts, which I was amazed by. I've yet to be let down by these, and I know that even if something went wrong, Andy would be happy to help or give advice. Plus the lube smells great!
